Capelle Kane is committed to serving existing and new clients as they navigate the evolving restrictions on who may or may not travel to and enter Canada during the COVID 19 outbreak. We are working both in the office and remotely and continuing to advise and service businesses, temporary residents, permanent residents and Canadian citizens with their need for Canadian immigration legal advice and services.

During this unprecedented event, we continue to work diligently to help our clients:

  • continue planning their human resource and operational needs

Note that Immigration and Refugee Citizenship Canada (IRCC), the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), Service Canada’s Temporary Foreign Worker Program, the Global Talent Stream Program, the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP), the Ontario Ministry of Economic Development, Job Creation and Trade (MEDJCT) and Global Affairs Canada are operational. Passport Canada is offering urgent services only. All other passport application services are suspended until further notice.

We are making continuous efforts to remain abreast of the Government of Canada’s legal and policy changes that continue to evolve in response to the pandemic. IRCC continues to accept and process all applications for permanent residence status. Processing delays continue. Strict deadlines are being relaxed by IRCC due to the inability of applicants to secure the necessary documentation to complete applications because of worldwide service disruptions. Generally, as time goes on, more clarity has developed on who is and who is not permitted entry to Canada during the application of Canada’s travel restrictions.

We are here to help.
